The indenture breaking up the Great Doods Estate

The map below shows the Deering Road area in the 1930s. As you move your mouse over it, a 1896 map of the same area will appear, overlaying it in sections. The 1896 Reigate Map has enough transparency to show the modern era peeping through. It is possible to see how the development in the area fitted onto the pre-developed land of, and around, the Great Doods Estate in particular.
This feature will be developed and expanded further and suggestions for local areas to do this with will be gratefully received via the bulletin board section. (The maps are rough scans from originals and I thank the owners for their permission to use them).
